The Journey on our Patagonia Luxury Tour
Please note that the following is only a suggestion as all of our luxury adventure travel journeys are custom-made.
Embark on an extraordinary voyage that will be etched in your memory forever. Blue Parallel's team has carefully hand-picked the most spectacular attractions, the most rewarding activities and the most comfortable accommodations in order to ensure that you will get the most out of your luxury travel in South America.
Los Glaciares National Park
After your overnight flight arrival in Buenos Aires, you will take a short flight to El Calafate, Argentina, where your personal host will greet you and escort you to Los Glaciares National Park, a frozen wonderland of startlingly white and piercing blue ice encircled by snow-capped misty mountains. At its centerpiece, the only forward-moving glacier on Earth - the majestic Perito Moreno glacier.
You may stay at either a traditional Patagonian estancia where you can enjoy horseback riding and other outdoor activities within the privately-owned property, or at a more modern wooden lodge.
Imagine yourself staring at 10 miles of moving ice and listening to the thunderous splashes of massive icebergs breaking into the milky glacial waters! With a frontal width of 3 miles and a height of 250 feet, the constantly moving Perito Moreno glacier is one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the world. You will experience the magic of the glacial ice first hand with a boat excursion or with a private hike on the glacier where your specialized guide will escort you across towering ice peaks, huge crevasses, turquoise blue creeks and icy lagoons.
You may also take part in an awe-inspiring expedition to the Upsala Glacier. You will sail along massive icebergs before reaching a remote piece of land that is home to wild horses, condors and vicunas.
Torres del Paine National Park
You will then experience a rewarding 4-wheel drive across the immense Patagonian steppes past traditional Argentinean estancias en route. You will arrive in Torres del Paine, Chile, truly one of the most spectacular national parks on Earth.
Picture yourself under a crisp blue sky, an Andean condor flying overhead, as you hike across rolling green hills with grazing guanacos set against the backdrop of gigantic granite spires, snowcapped mountains, aquamarine lakes, thunderous glaciers and breathtaking waterfalls. You will have the experience of a lifetime as you relax in the heated pool, Jacuzzi, spa or sauna of your luxury lodge (the Explora Lodge) after a long day of discovery and adventures in the wilderness. You will end your day with gourmet meals where you will experience the exquisite Patagonian lamb, "asado" (BBQ) style, and vintage Chilean wines as you recount your extraordinary adventures to your fellow travelers.
Buenos Aires
You will then drive back to El Calafate in time for your flight to Buenos Aires where you may either connect with your international return flight home or spend a few days discovering the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires while staying in a luxury 5-star hotel of your choice. You will be taken on a private guided tour of the city’s sightseeing highlights with its many fine museums and art galleries, fairs and antiques markets. Relax with some spa treatments and sample some exquisite Argentinean wine at a private wine tasting session with an expert sommelier. Enjoy gourmet authentic meals in the city’s finest restaurants and cocktails in the many chic bars and lounges. We can also arrange a private tango lesson followed by a traditional tango show in the VIP section at Esquina Gardel, or a private box at the world-class Teatro Colon.
Optional Extensions
If you have extra time, we recommend combining this trip with some other spectacular Patagonian highlights with options including the Argentine Lake District, Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia (the southernmost city in the world), or a trip to the Peninsula Valdez, where you will spot whales, sea elephants, Magellanic penguins, among many other species. Ask us for details.
