Athens (2 Nights)

Your private tour of Greece begins in Athens, one of the world’s oldest cities. You will be taken by private transfer to your hotel in downtown Athens with views of the Acropolis. Once a powerful city-state and a center for the arts, learning and philosophy, Athens was home to Plato’s Academy and Aristotle’s Lyceum, and is often referred to as the cradle of Western civilization and the birthplace of democracy. Its heritage of the classical era is still evident and represented by ancient monuments and works of art dotted throughout the city, the most famous being the Parthenon.

After you settle into your luxury hotel, visit the innovative Acropolis Museum with your expert guide. The museum’s glass design is equal in size and shape to the Parthenon, and rotates the Marble sculptures and findings exactly as they were placed at the Parthenon centuries ago. After your immersion into the rich history of the Acropolis, dine at a nearby restaurant with breathtaking views of the Acropolis.

The next day, visit the Acropolis itself, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most important ancient site in the Western world. Later, explore the Plaka neighborhood built on top of the residential areas of the ancient town of Athens and finish at the Ancient Agora and Roman Forums, all walking distance from your hotel. Enjoy lunch at a traditional tavern before heading back to your hotel to spend some time at leisure. Later in the evening, dine at a gourmet restaurant in town.

Peloponnese (3 Nights)

Private transfer to the seaside town of Nafplio, which was once the capital of the First Hellenic Republic from the start of the Greek Revolution in 1821 to 1834. Upon arrival, climb the 1,000 steps of the Palamidi fortress built by the Venetians during their occupation of the area (1686-1715) for excellent views of the sea and city below. After lunch, continue on to visit the Epidavros Theater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the best preserved Greek theater before arriving at the Amanzoe Resort in Porto Heli. Enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure by your private plunge pool.

The following day, spend your morning at leisure to enjoy the luxurious amenities of your hotel such as a spa, beach club, and outdoor pools. Amanzoe’s naturally lit spa is comprised of seven double treatment rooms, two hammams, and a hair and finishing salon, all looking onto a peaceful open-air courtyard. The Beach Club sits on the stunning blue waters of a sheltered bay. Enjoy the Grecian sun on the expansive deck or by one of 3 pools. When you need a break from the rays, duck under the pergolas or savor refreshments from the dining area and bar. Later in the afternoon, visit a traditional bee farm and learn the rituals of beekeeping that have been passed down from generation to generation.

Start the next day off with a morning hike (4.5 miles) passing through rural Peloponnese to the Avgo Monastery built into the rock face of the Avgo Mountain, overlooking the Rados River. Stop for a delicious picnic lunch in a spectacular outdoor setting before returning to your hotel. After returning to your hotel enjoy the rest of the day at the beach or pool.

Santorini (3 Nights)

No luxury Greece trip is complete without a private helicopter ride from the helipad at the Amanzoe to the heliport on Santorini Island. Upon arrival on the island, located in the southernmost point of the Cyclade Islands, you will be greeted by your personal host and privately transferred to your hotel with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. After you settle in, your expert guide will accompany you to explore the archaeological site of Akrotiri. A volcanic eruption destroyed this Minoan Bronze Age settlement around 1,500 BC. In the evening, head down to the tiny port of Ammoudi with excellent taverns located right on the water that serve freshly caught fish.

The following day, explore Santorini’s caldera on a private sailing excursion. Depart from the Vlihada port located in the southern part of the island and sail to the famous red beach for swimming and snorkeling. Continue along the coast stopping at the white beach and the Akrotiri lighthouse. Later, pick up sail through the caldera lake to Thirasia Island where you will hike to a spectacular lookout point for the best view of Santorini. In the late afternoon, head to the picturesque town of Pyrgos and sip on cocktails as you listen to classical music at Franco’s Bar, followed by dinner at Metaxi Mas.

On your third day, enjoy a private wine tasting before stopping at the forgotten village of Emporio. In the late afternoon, take a private transfer to Imerovigli for your 2-hour hike along the caldera’s cliffs. Stop along the way at a quaint church to take in panoramic views while listening to live folkloric Greek music playing just for your party. Finally, arrive at your hotel in time to watch the sunset in the privacy of your hotel room’s terrace.

On the last day of your private Greece tour, take a plane to Athens to catch your international flight home.
