Luxury Family Travel to Guatemala & Belize
The Journey on our Guatemala & Belize Luxury Tour
Please note that the following itinerary is an example, as all of our journeys are custom-made
Guatemala Luxury Tour
Antigua
Fly into Guatemala City and be privately transferred to explore Antigua, a charming colonial city characterized by cobblestone streets and colorful houses. See its spectacular sightseeing attractions such as the Palace and the beautiful Cathedral. Wake early to climb the Pacaya volcano by foot or on horse-back and see the lava bubble and glow bright red. After being dormant for over a century, this volcano fiercely erupted in 1965 and has been continuously erupting ever since. Watch the sunrise as you have a specially prepared breakfast merely meters away from the mouth of the volcano. Enjoy gourmet meals in Antigua’s best restaurants in the evenings.
Lake Atitlan and the highlands of Guatemala
Fly by private helicopter over the road of the volcanoes to the heliport of your own private villa, overlooking beautiful Lake Atitlan. Its natural beauty is complemented by the rich culture found in the traditional villages that surround it, its residents proudly displaying traditional Mayan dress. Travel by motorized boat to explore the villages, stopping along the way to see spiritual sights such as the shrine to the Mayan deity, Maximon. Witness traditional weaving practices. Have lunch at your private villa and relax at the pool. Delicious meals prepared by your own private chef in the evenings. Live folkloric music specially arranged for your party.
Tikal
Private helicopter transfer to the region of Tikal to stay at Francis Ford Coppola's “La Lancha” in your own exclusive cabin overlooking the beautiful and pristine Lake Petén Itza below. Private guided tour of the impressive ruins of Tikal. Located in the heart of the jungle and boasting over 3,000 structures, Tikal was deemed a UNESCO Cultural and Natural World Heritage Site in 1979. Listen to howler monkeys, spot toucans and enjoy the jungle atmosphere as you explore the superb temples, palaces, and public squares with your own personal guide.
Belize Luxury Tour
Belize Jungle
Travel across the border into Belize. Notice how the fauna shifts to a mixture between pine forest and typical jungle vegetation. Proceed by small canoe into an estuary to visit the mystical Barton Creek cave, once a sacred offering site for the ancient Mayan people. Private transfer to the luxurious Francis Ford Coppola owned “Blancaneaux Lodge”, nestled deep in the jungle. Enjoy hiking to spectacular waterfalls, swimming in natural pools and horse-back riding as you explore the diverse flora and fauna of the region. In the evenings, enjoy spa treatments and delicious regional meals. Fly by private plane to Belize City for your flight home, stopping along the way to enjoy an aerial sightseeing tour over the spectacular Belize barrier reef system including the breathtaking Blue Hole.
Optional Extensions
If you have extra time, we recommend combining this luxury trip to Guatemala and Belize with a relaxing beach getaway on the Riviera Maya along with further exploration of the Ruta Maya in the
Yucatan Peninsula.

Testimonial
I worked closely with Blue Parallel to plan a trip for my family of six to Belize and Guatemala. I was impressed by their concern to detail—they wanted me to tell them very specifically what we wanted to do, what we valued in a place to stay, what kind of food we liked and how we liked to travel. It was clear that Blue Parallel wanted my family to have the trip of our dreams. And we did! We had eight perfect days and nights! We stayed in beautiful, comfortable places, learned from wise and enjoyable guides and managed to cram countless great experiences into a too short vacation. Blue Parallel is really an amazing group to work with. I wish they planned trips all over the world so that I could use them every time my family traveled!
